A Ground Hornbill arrives at its nest hole with some padding. These are slow breeders, raising as few as one young every nine years! It’s a wonder, and a testament to Zambia’s beautiful woodlands, that these huge birds can find trees big enough for the purpose. This tree is a sycamore fig.
